The ‘Marfa Tapes’ From Miranda Lambert, Jack Ingram And Jon Randall Are Exactly What COUNTRY Needs

This project is not getting enough attention and it really deserves all of the attention. Miranda Lambert, Jack Ingram and Jon Randall have put out one of the best country albums ever called the ‘Marfa Tapes.’

There are 15 songs on the album and every song screams country music. Miranda Lambert and Jack Ingram have worked together a few times in their career. Miranda Lambert is basically Texas royalty and Jack Ingram is a Texas Music Country legend. No one can argue that. Jack is simply a bad ass. So, joining forces was the right thing to do…again

For people who aren’t familiar with Jon Randall. He’s a bad ass in his own right. His career began as a guitarist for Emmylou Harris‘ Nash Ramblers with whom he won his first Grammy for their Live at the Ryman album in 1992. Between 1995 and 2005 Randall released four solo albums, What You Don’t KnowCold Coffee MorningWillin’ and Walking Among the Living.

Randall has also produced a lot of country projects like Dierks Bentley‘s Up on the Ridge(2010) which was nominated for the 2011 Grammy Award for Best Country Album, and The Mountain(2018). Both albums were nominated for the ACM and CMA’s Album of the Year. Randall’s production on The Mountains “Burning Man ft. Brothers Osborne” also earned him the 2019 ACM Award for Music Event of the Year. Other artists Randall has produced include: Dwight YoakamJack IngramPat GreenNitty Gritty Dirt BandJessi Alexander, and Parker McCollum. Jon Randall definitely knows his away around country music to say the least.

Miranda Lambert, Jack Ingram and Jon Randall’s album the ‘Marfa Tapes’ is everything country music stands for. Real, honest and raw. Three chords and the truth can definitely be heard in every song on this album.
