I’m not sure how this really happens. Unless you have the only person who has never hooked up a trailer before or someone who has never seen an actual hitch…hook up the trailer. It’s also okay to ask questions before doing something you’ve never done before.
Asking questions before you get asked to hook the trailer on the hitch is not showing stupidity. It shows that you’re searching for knowledge in doing something correct and not having your work end up on a TikTok video where everyone is asking this question. What in the holy hillbilly hell is happening here?
