Maren Morris Apologized To The LGBTQ+ Community On Behalf Of Country Music (She Ain’t Speaking For Me)

Maren Morris was a guest judge on Friday’s episode of “RuPaul’s Drag Race”.  During a backstage segment with the contestants, she apologized for any hate they feel from her fellow country performers.

She said, “coming from country music and its relationship with LGBTQ+ members, I just want to say I’m sorry. I love you guys for making me feel like a brave voice in country music. So, I just thank you guys so much for inspiring me.”

Maren should really stop speaking for people she doesn’t personally know…and that’s mainly because no one should speak for anyone they don’t really know.

Maren is not the face of country music in anyway and the more she speaks the farther away she’s from being the face of country music. Hate comes in all forms and it’s disgusting.

To truly learn respect always starts at home. Famous people are not the moral compass of life and most famous people think they can tell others or how to live their personal lives…while knowing nothing about someone’s life. Until you as a famous person starts paying my bills…then you as a famous person might be able to start speaking on my behalf.

I feel Maren’s heart is in the right place, but for her to think she can speak on behalf of everyone in country music is pompous to me.
