Cody Johnson’s masterpiece of a song “‘Til You Can’t” won “Best Country Song” at the 2023 Grammy Awards (Sunday Feb. 5…as it should), and songwriter Ben Stennis gave an emotional speech.
The “Best Country Song” award is awarded to the songwriters themselves. Ben Stennis was one of the co-writers for “‘Til You Can’t” with Matt Rogers, and Stennis was on hand at the Grammy Premiere Ceremony Sunday to accept the award.

He thanked Cody Johnson “for changing our lives,” and ran through a group that included his publisher, his family and the Recording Academy.
The Grammy Awards definitely got the “Best Country Song” award right this year.
