Ashley McBryde’s reputation as a skilled songwriter was put to the test during her appearance on “The Jennifer Hudson Show“.
Jennifer asked an audience member to tell a true story, and then challenged Ashley to turn it into a song.
Luckily, the audience member had a good one. She said a co-worker once set her up on a blind date, and when she got to the restaurant, it was her cousin. Ashley jumped on that, saying, quote, “It’s already a country song.”
Then she took the premise and crafted a song. The audience loved it, and even Jennifer said it was “amazing”.
