Cody Johnson has covered a few that he sang the hell out of and this cover is no different.

Cody got a chance to close out the CMT Awards paying tribute to Lynyrd Skynyrd’s late Gary Rossington with a melody of “Simple Man” and “Sweet Home Alabama”.

Now I found this bad ass cover thanks to a little search on YouTube. Cody covered one of my favorites, Lynyrd Skynyrd’s “The Ballad Of Curtis Loew”.
