We all know Carly Pearce’s self-described divorce album, “29: Written in Stone”, broke out huge. Well, now it’s Michael Ray’s turn. He released his song “Get Her Back”, and it’s a metaphorical look their tragic story.
It stars a Carly lookalike who’s lost in her own world while ignoring him. During one manic episode she falls into a swimming pool and drowns. Everyone thinks Michael did it, and he’s arrested for it.
What’s the real truth? That’s usually somewhere in the middle. Regardless…this song is a masterpiece and wasn’t what I was expecting.
