The hits keep coming for Morgan Wallen and not in a good way.
Morgan fans were left a little disappointed this weekend after he abruptly canceled his show Sunday night in Oxford, Mississippi minutes before he was set to take the stage.
His openers Hardy and Ernest had already performed. So, fans got most of the show they paid for and they wound up getting that show for free…because tickets were refunded.

I get that fans were upset for not seeing Morgan…but shit happens. Artists lose their voice more than you think and the anxiety of not being able to do your job is real. Morgan did the only thing he knew possible…by giving fans 90% of the show for free.
No matter the situation…the internet can’t stop speculating about what happened. Some were led to believe he was too drunk to play. That’s been proven false, but that didn’t stop this from happening.
Brandi Burcham, a resident of Prentiss County, Mississippi, filed the lawsuit in federal court, is alleging breach of contract and negligence against the country music star.
According to the complaint, Burcham purchased tickets to the ill-fated concert and also “incurred other out-of-pocket expenses in connection” with the show. She says that despite the fact that refunds were promised to all ticketholders, “no offer has been made to reimburse concertgoers for other out-of-pocket expenses they incurred in connection with the cancellation, including transportation, lodging, food, merchandise sales, transaction fees, and other such expenses.”
Burcham is asking that the court certify her lawsuit as a class action suit on behalf of all persons who purchased tickets for the show, and alleges that concert attendees were third-party beneficiaries of Morgan’s contract with the University of Mississippi. She claims that due to Morgan not performing, ticketholders were “deprived of the concert performance they paid to see through no fault of their own.”
I bet she also asked to speak to a manager about everything on Sunday as well. Again. Tickets were refunded for a show that still kind of happened. Get well soon Morgan.
