You know how thieves might threaten a clerk demanding money “OR ELSE!” and the “or else!” always seems scary? Well, in this case, the “or else” was just “I’ll go back to shopping in the store.”
On Monday, a woman in Texas named Brandy Ackerman walked up to a grocery store clerk and pulled a knife out of her jacket. She demanded that the clerk open the cash register but the clerk refused.
So Brandy put the knife back in her jacket and said, “Oh I was just kidding anyway.” Then, she went back to shopping. She later paid for her items, and left.
Brandy was gone when the cops showed up, but they later caught her and charged her with aggravated robbery. She’s being held in jail on $150,000 bond.
