This will be the first Pride Month that Maren Morris celebrates out of the closet. She came out Sunday as bisexual. I mean no one who’s an actual adult really cares who someone sleeps with. Unless they’re jealous.
In an Instagram post, she said, quote, “Happy to be the B in LGBTQ+. Happy pride.” She shared several pictures with the post, including two where she’s waving a pride flag. The B does not mean bitch by the way. For those of you who might not be actual fans of her as of lately.
Maren has been an ally for years. She once even climbed up on her high horse and apologized to drag queens for Country Music’s treatment of the community, and went on to criticize Jason Aldean’s wife for making transphobic comments. We also have to point again…how Maren is in fact not a spokesperson for everyone in country music. Let’s clear that up here.
Maren definitely knows how to stay in the news cycle. It’s Pride Month. So, I guess she needs the spot light on her again. Why not just be gay, proudly show up with your girlfriend publicly and live your life as you? There’s no need for an announcement. This is not your grandmas house.
