Post Malone’s “I Had Some Help” Featuring Morgan Wallen Debuted at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100

Post Malone’s new song “I Had Some Help” featuring Morgan Wallen is already a massive hit.

It immediately shot to the top of the iTunes charts and broke the Spotify record for the most single-day streams for a country song. The song also debuted at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. It had 76.4 million streams in the U.S. in a week. That’s more than any song since the new streaming calculations began in 2020.

It’s Posty’s sixth #1 single on the Hot 100, and Morgan’s second. Of course, it’s on top of the country charts, too. This is Posty’s first #1 country song, and Morgan’s eighth.

The song was written by Post Malone (who is listed by his real name, Austin Post, in the credits), along with Morgan Wallen, Ryan Vojtesak, Ernest, Louis Bell and Hoskins. It’s a lot of names to mention, but it apparently took a team of people to make this happen.

Now it’s not exactly that Sturgill Simpson-esque country song I was hoping for, but it’s super catchy. Besides the song, “Never Love You Again”, Post played for the first time at the ACM Awards on Thursday May 16th was solid country gold.

That song features heavy fiddle and that beautiful steel, while telling the story of a breakup and the aftermath of a love lost. While asking for forgiveness from some girl even though he knows he’s ultimately leaving and never looking back, because “this ain’t no cowboy western.”
