Chase Rice Is Stepping Away from Touring in 2026: “After 13 Years, It’s Finally Beat Me Up”

Chase Rice just shared an honest update with fans, admitting that life on the road has finally caught up with him.

After 13 straight years of touring, Chase is taking a break in 2026 to reset and reconnect with why he started making music.

Here’s what he said, “I’m exhausted. I haven’t been able to be myself on stage in quite a while and really enjoy music and why I got into it in the first place.”

Then he said, “after 13 years, it’s finally beat me up to the point where I need to step away for a while…need to go live life so that I have more real experiences to write down.”

Chase says the time off isn’t about burnout.  It’s about refilling the tank. I get it. Chase has become a friend over the years and touring ain’t easy on a person. It can absolutely take its toll on anyone. The music business is also nasty, unpredictable and unforgiving at times.

The last four albums that Chase has put out has been the best of his career. It’s as real and raw as it gets. Which is what makes country music even better to me.

Mainstream country radio has ignored that music from him almost in its entirely. Mainly because the suits in Nashville think they know what country music fans want to hear…when all we really want is country music that’s sound real. Hopefully Chase takes the time he needs and continues to put out the music he’s been putting out like his last four albums…because it speaks to my soul.
