Ward Davis Made His Grand Ole Opry Debut On Friday March 13, 2026 Y’all

One of America’s national treasure graced the Grand Ole Opy’s stage for the first time ever on Friday night.

Ward Davis made his Grand Ole Opry debut on Friday, March 13, 2026 to be exact and as John Anderson taught me in 1993, “I Wish I Could’ve Been There”…for that. For real.

He was introduced by his longtime friend and Opry member, Steve Wariner. Ward described the experience on his Instagram as a “bucket list” milestone he had dreamed of since he was 15 years old. To honor his late father, who had supported his early musical ambitions, Ward performed while wearing his father’s boots.

If you haven’t listened to Ward’s newest album, “Here I Am”, or “The Bordello Sessions”, “Black Cats And Crows”, “15 Years In A 10 Year Town” and one of my favorite songs from him called “Another Bad Apple”…you’re missing out on some damn fine music.

Be sure to check out our interview with Ward Davis too. We got serious and talked about who the biggest b*tch in a country song was. And we all agreed on how the mom in “Fancy” wins that award.
