Willie Nelson, one of the enduring patriarchs of Texas music, is set to bring his annual Independence Day celebration back to Central Texas again this summer.
Organizers announced Monday that the 2026 edition of Willie’s “4th of July Picnic” and fireworks is scheduled to take place at the Germania Insurance Amphitheater in Austin, Texas.
The event, was founded by Willie in 1973, and it continues its tradition of blending outlaw country with contemporary artists. This year’s roster is featuring Willie Nelson & Family, Billy Strings, Wilco, Sheryl Crow, Lukas Nelson, Stephen Wilson Jr., Rodney Crowell and more.
Willie released a statement saying, “get ready Austin because this year is going to be the best Picnic yet…I am looking forward to seeing all my Austin friends… it is going to be one hell of a time.”
As for tickets, general on-sale begins Friday, March 27, 2026, at 10 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster.
