This poor dog seeing a horse for the first time got them all shook.
Now I get that horses are big…but they’re not scary. They’re actually like big dogs themselves. Sad part is, this dog is a part of the cattle dog family, known as the Australian Cattle Dog.
Apparently this dog doesn’t care for cattle or any kind though.
This dog is apparently one of those dogs. I’m also a firm believer in knowing that dogs are better cats. Mainly because cats are kind of evil to me personally. And this video really proves how dogs are actually holy animals.
Now I’m not saying this dog is Jesus…but if Jesus showed up on earth as a dog…this would be him. This dog is out there literally blessing other dogs.
Have you ever spent five minutes with someone and thought, “maybe we should be friends?”
There’s a new trend of “speed friending” events gaining steam…where people meet new people, just to hang out with. It’s part speed-dating…part one-on-one socializing…and part support group, in a good way.
The meet-ups generally involve a group of two to three dozen people, with an organizer who helps break the ice. They happen at neutral places, like cafes, and include people of all ages. Although it seems bigger among Millennials…because they obviously don’t know how to make friends like normal people do.
Now just like speed dating, people rotate around the room…sitting down and chatting with new people throughout.
So, why is this becoming a thing?
One expert says that we’re in a “friendship recession.” In 1990, about 3% of Americans said they didn’t have any friends. Today, between 12% to 20% say they don’t have any friends.
There are a few reasons for that. Technology, social media, and other online communities have impacted in-person social spaces…similar to the way they have changed the dating “scene.”
The pandemic played a role, especially among young adults…hybrid and flexible work schedules have cut into hangouts with coworkers…and busy-ness seems to be more accepted than free-time.
Studies show that making and maintaining adult friendships is excellent for your physical and mental health. It can help you live longer…be happier…and it’s also “key to economic mobility.”
But like romantic relationships, platonic friendships take time. One expert says the key is to get into the habit of adding “low-stakes, repeated interactions with people you’re similar to.”
Luke Combs kicked off his “My Kinda Saturday Night Tour” on Saturday in Las Vegas. And it got off to a great start to say the least.
He set an attendance record at Allegiant Stadium with 70,921 fans. He broke the record previously set by the boxing match between Canelo Álvarez and Terence Crawford, which was 70,482.
That June 2025 fight drew 70,482, which broke the record previously set by Garth Brooks of 68,000 on his stadium tour stop in 2021. Hopefully we’ll see Luke break more attendance records in this tour too.
Keith Urban is embracing his inner yacht rocker. He announced that he has a covers album on the way at Country Radio Seminar.
While he performed at the Ryman Auditorium for Team MCA’s CRS Ryman Lunch he said, “there is one original on the record. It’s a thematic record…yacht rock songs. You think I’m kidding? I’m not kidding.”
And if that idea sounds a bit odd, Keith gave fans a taste of what to expect. He played a cover of Stephen Bishop’s“On and On”. There isn’t a release date for the covers album yet…but it’s coming.
Keith was also honored by St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital with the Randy Owen “Angels Among Us” Award. He’s been a supporter for more than 20 years, and began visiting the hospital in 1998.
This man is a man of many words…and who knew he could write poems after a night of drinking.
Blake Shelton went viral for a humorous, “spicy” poem he wrote and recited for his friend Jason Aldean. The special reading of the poem took place March 19, 2026 during a surprise celebration at the 2026 Country Radio Seminar (CRS) in Nashville to honor Jason achieving 31 number-one hits.
Blake did point out how he’s not “really a poem writer” and he said, “I did write this down…and I had been drinking like I said.” He also pointed out he didn’t have a chance to edit or review his poem for Jason before reading it in a public setting. And he told the audience, “I’m just going to read this to you guys as as I wrote it down. This is from my heart though…okay.” Some people obviously laughed about that and Blake said, “what the f*ck is funny about that?”
The poem was called “Jason Aldean, That’s What Mean, by Blake Shelton”, and the name has a nice ring to it too.
The poem talked about where Jason grew up and the first CRS where Blake and Jason met. Blake praised Jason’s successful career by saying it was made possible, “out of the songs that I have passed on.”
Blake talked about how Jason is pretty outspoken saying, “I believe he’s just a patriotic guy, but it be just be his alcohol and drug abuse. I love Jason’s voice and the that way that he sings because it’s so gravelly and porous. I bet he blend incredibly well on a duet with Maren Morris.”
The audience booed at that Maren Morris part, which was comedy gold and Blake asked, “what? Is she here or something?”
Blake of course praised Jain for building BMG in Nashville while taking a jab at Dustin Lynch saying, “Jason is the guy who made BMG the hottest label in this town…I wish they’d stop working with Dustin Lynch. Seriously, what the f*ck is that sound?”
And in Blake fashion he closed his heartfelt poem by saying “congratulations, Jason, on a hell of a feat, and I pray that Luke Bryan ain’t here.” I mean it was a beautiful poem to me.
Sometimes it’s better to build your own label. Especially if you’re Kenny Chesney.
Kenny Chesney teamed up with his manager and a few music executives to launch a new record label of his own. It’s called Hey Now Records, which is named after his beloved boat that’s mentioned in his 2013 song, “Happy on the Hey Now (A Song for Kristi)”.
Kenny joined forces with Clint Higham, his long-time manager and co-founder of Morris Higham Management, along with John Esposito, the 15-year-chairman of Warner Music Nashville, and Kris Lamb, a seasoned music executive who has been a key figure Big Machine Label Group for over a decade.
In an official statement, Kenny explained why he wanted to join this new venture, “when Clint, Espo and Kris came to me with the idea of creating our own team, I was curious. A label like this can be all-in, lets-make-stuff-happen – and I have always been about making things happen. Creating and exploring what’s possible inspires me, and this is a moment where we can realize ideas in a matter of hours”.
Lainey Wilson said she was broke when she first met her now fiancé, Devlin “Duck” Hodges in 2021.
She said, “he thought I was doing a little bit better than I was…a few weeks after, my sister had to Venmo me a couple hundred bucks.” It’s what sister are for too.
She previously talked about their first date in a 2023 interview. Lainey said there was free beer and wine, “I was like, ‘This boy likes to ball on a budget too. This is gonna work out.'”
Talking about country music, eating chicken wings and drinking beer is a normal Saturday afternoon for me personally. That’s just me though.
This podcast is also right up my alley. Luke Combs is the first country artist to ever go on “Hot Ones”. And during the episode he was a part of, he compared the heat level of one of the chicken wings to a home invasion. I felt what he saying too.
He also made some time to do a turkey call tutorial for host Sean Evans.
The 61st annual Academy of Country Music Awards have announced their first round of performers. And they include Lainey Wilson, Riley Green, and Cody Johnson.
The awards will go down May 17th in Las Vegas and will stream on Prime Video. A host hasn’t been announced as of yet. So, if ACM Awards are in need…Hillbilly Live is available for hosting duties.
