Jelly Roll Was Joined By T-Pain For A Nice “Should’ve Been A Cowboy” Tribute To Toby Keith During his Stagecoach Set

It seems like ever since the country legend, Toby Keith, passed away on February 5th, the tributes keep pouring in. Not just from people in the country music world neither…but from athletes, talk show hosts, the military…and even rappers.

Jelly Roll has made Toby’s signature hit, “Should’ve Been A Cowboy”, a staple at his live shows. During his Stagecoach Festival performance in Indio, California, he once again broke out the classic hit for the 70,000 plus people in attendance. He was also joined by a surprising guest to pay tribute to the country legend.

T-Pain showed up on stage as Jelly was performing a rap medley that included “All I Do Is Win”, the DJ Khaled song that features T-Pain. He stuck around to honor Big Dog Toby, in joining Jelly Roll for the tribute and even singing a verse himself.

It’s kind of comical when Jelly Roll and T-Pain can do a better at job of paying tribute to Toby Keith than CMT Awards did. To be honest. T-Pain sang the shit out that song and after knowing his love for real country music and the work he’s done in the business…I wouldn’t mind hearing more country music from him.
