Jason Aldean Delivered the Perfect Tribute to Big Dog Toby Keith at The 59th ACM Awards

So, about Jason Aldean’s performance at the ACM Awards on Thursday evening (May 16).

It was perfect. Jason paid tribute to late grate country legend Toby Keith with a reimagined version of one of, “Should’ve Been A Cowboy”, during the 59th ACM Awards

Aldean, who also happens to be the reigning ACM Artist of the Decade, said it was, “such an honor to get to pay tribute to my friend, Toby Keith, tonite on the ACM Awards.”

Blake Shelton, said he was “heartbroken and yet honored” to pay tribute to the late country megastar as he introduced Jason on stage at Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas. Shelton also spotlighted Keith’s family — including wife Tricia Lucus, son, Stelen Keith Covel, and daughters Krystal Keith and Shelly Covel Rowland. Images of Keith were displayed as Aldean performed on stage at Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas.

Toby’s family posted their gratitude and thanks on X (Twitter) for Jason’s performance.

Jason Aldean made the Big Dog proud with his performance at the ACMs. It doesn’t get any better than this.

“Toby, we’ll never forget you and I kind of feel like you’re here with us tonight anyway,” host Reba McEntire said after Aldean concluded his performance.
