If Kenny Chesney ever has the chance to do the Super Bowl halftime show, he might decline the offer. At least wouldn’t be an automatic yes. He talked about the pros and cons during an interview the other day.
He was quoted saying, “I’m not saying that if I was asked to do the Super Bowl, that I would say no. I would probably say yes…but I feel like it’s the kiss of death.”
He said it might be good for his career, but everyone who does it deals with a ton of hate too. So, all things being equal, he’d rather go and just to watch the game.
Kenny said, “If I’ve got the choice to have all that stress leading up to it, or sit in a suite with my dad and have a beer…I’m probably going to do that.”
