Most of us can’t afford a normal Louis Vuitton bag, let alone waste money on one that’s basically invisible.
A miniature Louis Vuitton bag that’s smaller than a grain of salt just sold at auction this week for over $63,000. The final price was $63,750 bucks.
The company “Mischief”…spelled “MSCHF” is behind it. They’re the same ones who recently sold backward shoes, and a box of cereal with one giant Froot Loop in it.
They made the bag using a 3-D printer. It’s so small, you can barely see it with the naked eye…less than 0.03 inches wide. That’s small enough to fit through the eye of a needle.
It’s not a functional handbag, obviously. It doesn’t open or anything, it’s just “art.” It’s based on Louis Vuitton’s “OnTheGo” tote, which is less expensive but still not cheap. They retail for up to $4,300.
It’s not clear who wasted their money…I mean bought the microscopic version, but Pharrell Williams probably knows. It was sold through an auction house he founded called “Joopiter.”
