Colt Ford is still in the ICU following the heart attack he suffered almost two weeks ago. The good news is it sounds like he’s doing better.
It happened after a show at Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row in Gilbert, Arizona on April 4th. He did a two-and-a-half hour set and seemed fine. Then he needed medical attention backstage.
Colt is good buddies with golf analyst Charlie Rymer, who posted an update the other day. He said Colt’s “odds of survival were grim” at first. But he’s “making great progress and doing better by the minute.” He also thanked everyone for all their prayers and support.
The bad news is Colt won’t be back on the road anytime soon. His entire slate of tour dates through August just got canceled. His team says refunds are available.
Four shows in Ohio, North Carolina, and Georgia got rescheduled for September and October. So, hopefully he’s back up and running by then. None of it really matters right now. Just get better, Colt!
