This 27-year-old man from Costa Mesa, California is facing charges for threatening to kill a doctor who gave him “near-constant diarrhea.” His name is Robert McDougal and he has ulcerative colitis, a painful condition that affects the bowels.
He had major surgery in 2020 that involved removing his colon, and claims it wasn’t really necessary. He says it’s caused him to have “daily attacks of diarrhea” at least 15 times a day.
According to the FBI, he blames his surgeon, who he’s been threatening online for the past four years. They’re not light threats. He’s talked about killing and torturing him and said things like, “he needs to feel levels of pain no living creature has ever felt.”
He’s facing stalking charges, and this isn’t his first run-in with the law. Three years before the surgery, he got arrested and kicked out of college after flipping out on a professor who gave him a B.
He also slashed the tires of two campus security vehicles and carved swastikas into the hoods. It sounds like the man needs therapy and a new colon.
