Tim McGraw decided to partner with Planet Fitness to raise money for the Boys and Girls Clubs of America. That apparently upset some people.
When people aren’t happy in the midst of a boycott they will voice their opinion publicly. There’s been a boycott of the gym recently because of their gender identity non-discrimination policy. A woman was banned for posting a photo of a transgender woman in the locker room.
Responses towards Tim were less than happy. One wrote, “Sell out. This dude sold his soul along time ago.” Another wrote, “Tim. My man. Planet Fitness bro? They allow men in the women’s bathrooms and vice versa. Gross.”
This person wrote, “Lololololololo This was an epic failure on your part, Tim…country folks usually don’t support woke companies that don’t protect the safety of real women.” Last one here as another wrote, “Seriously, you had to partner with a company who doesn’t give a d—n about actual women’s safety. So disappointing.”
As a father of a daughter now…I get their concerns…but there’s no need to be pissed off at someone who’s using a bathroom…or a locker room that’s not exactly meant for them. It’s how they act when they’re in front of my daughter that concern me. If they cross a line with my daughter of any kind that’s inappropriate then the fight from hell is on. Someone else’s mental state of being is none of my business. My daughter’s well being is all that matters to me.
In other Tim news, he’s set to star as a bull riding champion in a new drama series for Netflix. No word what it’s called or when it’ll come out.
