The political hate in this country is real and slightly comical to some of us.
Carrie Underwood is been tapped to perform at Donald Trump’s inauguration. Some of her fans, however, do not like this show of support.
So, in good fashion of the internet people have taken to their respective social media platforms to voice their opinions. Some people now want to boycott her…and American Idol.
Carrie of course responded in a professional and classy way to being invited to play the inauguration by saying…
“I love our country and am honored to have been asked to sing at the inauguration and to be a small part of this historic event. I am humbled to answer the call at a time when we must all come together in the spirit of unity and looking to the future.”
According to the program, Carrie Underwood will perform “America The Beautiful” right before Donald Trump takes the Presidential Oath of Office. The Armed Forces Chorus and the United States Naval Academy Glee Club will join her.
Regardless of who is becoming our next president, it’s an honor to be invited to play at any inauguration. People who want to hate on that kind of opportunity are welcome to voice their opinions, but need to remember how important it is to wish any president well in leading our country to be best it can be for all of us.
