It got me thinking, when is the next COUNTRY Super Bowl halftime show? Country singers get asked to do the anthem a lot. Like Chris Stapleton…The Dixie Chicks…Faith Hill…Garth Brooks…and Charley Pride in Super Bowl Eight.
I mean there’s only been one full on country halftime show in the history of the big game that I can remember. It was Super Bowl 28 in 1994. It featured Clint Black…Tanya Tucker…Travis Tritt…and The Judds. That was 31 years ago. Don’t you think it’s time for another one?
Shania Twain sang “Man! I Feel Like a Woman” and “Up” during Super Bowl 37, but it was a halftime show that also featured No Doubt, and Sting. So, technically not a full on country halftime show to me.
Who do think it should be? King George Strait Morgan Wallen…Luke Combs…Jelly Roll…Lainey Wilson…Dolly Parton? All of the above? Everybody gets a song?
