New Cody Jinks music is on the way and very soon too.
Cody dropped his Lefty Frizzell tribute record, Cody Jinks Sings Lefty Frizzell back in December of 2024, which highlighted some of the hidden gems and hits from Frizzell’s catalog. Now Jinks just surprised fans by recently teaming up with the guitarist from Lamb Of God, Mark Morton, for a country meets metal single, “Brother”.
The song was also co-written and produced by our good friend Travis Denning, who told us getting a chance to work with Mark Morton was “a childhood dream”.
CJ fans have not been deprived of new music by any means and now they won’t have to wait much longer for another full length album. In this social media video, Cody shared that he’s “basically done” with his next studio record and that it will in fact be dropping soon.
“Oh hey, didn’t see you there. Jinks here. Sneaky edition.
Just wanted to let you guys know that on this Monday, February 10th… almost all of the music is in the can for what will be our upcoming record, to be released later this year.
We’re basically done…recording this record. So we begin the mixing and mastering process, the artwork, all the things that take months and months to do. We wanted to let you know.
It’s going to be badass. I’m just gonna say it, I’m just gonna say it right there. It’s badass. Over and out.”
