Post Malone Left A $2,000 Tip For A Server At A Bar in New Orleans – But The Payment Processing Company Square is Only Letting Her Keep $200

This might be the exact definition of bs or it’s a company stealing someone’s tip money.

Post Malone stopped by the bar called Howlin’ Wolf, in downtown New Orleans just outside of the French Quarter, and left another big tip in the amount of $2,000 for server named Heather Foster.

Here’s where it gets stupid. According to a Facebook post from Heather, when she went to cash out the nice tip that Post gave her, the payment processing company Square would only let her keep $200. Apparently Square claimed the tip was too high.

Heather did in fact share a photo of the receipt with the $2,000 tip from Posty, which caught the eye of members of the New Orleans city council and investigative reporter Cassie Shirm who works with the local news station WDSU.

Cassie Shirm is in the case as she emailed Square to ask them what was up, and the company responded that they were looking into the issue:

Hopefully this issue is just a security measure that’s meant to prevent unauthorized transactions of large amounts, which would make sense and Square will make it right once they confirm the amount is correct. People in the service industry rely on tips to earn a living and Heather obviously earned that money.
