Kid Rock loves to act like he’s a tough guy…but even tough guys wanna be loved.
Kid Rock was performing in Nashville on Saturday (2/8/25) night. It wasn’t his concert…he was a special guest at the birthday party for Jon Bon Jovi’s keyboard player David Bryan. And it was at Bon Jovi’s bar.
Kid came onstage for a cover of “Proud Mary” by Creedence Clearwater Revival…alongside a band that included David himself. Kid only lasted a couple minutes before storming off.
He initially interrupted the show and shouted, “[f*ch] them. Hey, hey, stop…if you ain’t gonna clap, we ain’t gonna sing. That’s how it’s gonna work.”
He instructed people to clap along with the beat, but “don’t get too fast.”
There’s footage online, and people were clapping, but apparently not enough because he stopped the show again…said, “I’m gone”…and stomped out.
He never returned, but the concert did continue with the rest of the performers.
The whole situation was a little strange. Kid Rock isn’t known for having a spectacular singing voice…but he seemed worse than usual.
Still, the crowd did seem into it…and it seemed like they thought he was playing around by trying to fire everybody up. Apparently, he wasn’t getting good vibes, because he was serious about leaving.
Kid hasn’t commented. As of yet.
