Morgan Wallen just passed Garth Brooks for the most weeks with a #1 album on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart. Garth had a total of 173 weeks with an album at #1 over the course of his long career.
Morgan just broke that record in five years. Here’s how he got it done:
1. His first #1 was in August 2020 with his 2018 album “If I Know Me”…and he spent two weeks there.
2. Next came “Dangerous: The Double Album” which spent an incredible 97 weeks on top of the chart.
3. Now he’s on his 75th week at #1 with “One Thing at a Time”.
And this is all before his next album “I’m the Problem” drops…which is sure to vault Morgan into a lead that might never be topped.
Does this mean Morgan Wallen is the most successful country artist of all time? I’m going to go with yes.
