It Looks Like Ronnie Dunn Told Parker McCollum to Take His Chain Out of His Mouth On-Stage

When Ronnie Dunn says something to you on-stage you listen, even if you’re Parker McCollum.

Brooks & Dunn are hands down one of the most successful duos in country music history. There’s no arguing that neither. I mean when they hit the country music scene in 1991 with their debut single “Brand New Man”, and then followed it up with twangers like “Boot Scootin’ Boogie”, “My Maria”, and “Red Dirt Road”. They were a big part of the 90s country music soundtrack including mine.

Parker is a proud Texas native who’s also known as the “Gold Chain Cowboy”, which also happens to be the name of his 2021 album. He’s also been on a hot streak lately with his recent release of “What Kinda Man”, so when Brooks & Dunn invited him back on stage at Boots In The Park in Norco, California for their performance of “Red Dirt Road”, you say yes.

Parker was clearly in his element during the performance. Fans had their phones out, and some people caught a quick moment at the very end of the song. That’s when Ronnie tapped to point out something.

Parker was smiling from ear to ear with his gold chain between his teeth, which is when Ronnie tapped him on the shoulder, pointing to his mouth with a grin…and it appeared that he told him “to take his chain out of his mouth”.
