In case you missed the news. ERNEST launched his own record label, DeVille Records.
So, he came out swinging hard with his first release. ERNEST recruited Snoop Dogg for a modern twanger called “Gettin’ Gone”, along with the song’s official music video, which is out now. As a country music junky here…I approve of this song. Mainly because it’s more country than anything Beyoncé released.
“Gettin’ Gone” was actually co-written by ERNEST, and was first shared informally with Snoop according to Country Standard Time backstage at a Jelly Roll concert in Nashville, and Snoop immediately asked to be a part of the song. I mean…Snoop has some country music love y’all.
The video makes me want to hang out with ERNEST and Snoop. For recreational reasons of course. You can find the duo driving around Nashville in ERNEST’s Cadillac DeVille, outside of Castle Recording Studios as well as cruising down Broadway in the video.
“Cadillac Sessions”, which is a mixtape-style compilation, and this a great tease of what’s to come May 9th when the compilation arrives. It’s also going to feature two new originals, a cover from DeVille Records’ Chandler Walters, Cody Lohden and Rhys Rutherford plus some cuts from ERNEST’s vault.
