Luke Combs is slowing down for the right reasons. Which includes seeing his two boys grow up and spend some time with his wife.
When Luke came out with “Hurricane” in 2016 his career took off and hasn’t slowed down yet. He has proven over and over again how he is one of country music’s elite. I mean the man is well on his way to becoming a legend in the country genre.
Luke is sitting on 19 solo number one songs to date. Well it’s actually 20 if you count his “Cold Beer Calling My Name” with Jameson Rodgers that also made it to number one. Mr. Combs is in a league of his own when it comes to producing hits. There’s no argument in that.
The man is realizing what’s more important than fame and that’s family. Your family and friends who truly love you are people you can’t take for granted. No matter what’s going on in your life, you have to find time to spend with them, because one day you won’t have that time.
Luke said in post on his social what needed to be said and I don’t blame him for needing to slow down a bit. He said…
“I want to take a moment to remind y’all that I truly believe y’all are the best fans in the world.
I know we’re only doing festivals in the US this year, but I thank y’all for giving me the opportunity to change things up and not do my own tour while still knowing how much y’all mean to me.
I just want to be home as much as I can where I can see my boys grow up and them know how important they are to me.”
Now he did point out how he and the band are playing plenty of festivals in 2025. They’re also actually playing about 10 more times this year than they did in 2024. No matter what you have going on…take time off for what’s really important when you can. Life is way entirely to short to work your life away and not spend time with the people you love at home.
