Pat Green Sadly Lost His Youngest Brother John, His Wife Julia and Their Two Children In the Texas Floods

Seeing what the floods in Texas, my home state, have done is simply heartbreaking.

Where talking about kids, mothers, dads and entire family washed away in flood waters. Mother Nature is a bitch and doesn’t care who’s in the way when she rolls through any area. The death toll unfortunately surpassed 100 people, including 27 campers along with staff from Camp Mystic, which is the camp that sits along the Guadalupe River. The sad thing is…that the death toll will probably go up a little more before it’s all said and done.

Growing up in Victoria, Texas the Guadalupe River flooded my hometown in 1998. It was crazy to see and that river rose quick. Which is what happened Friday morning July 4th in the Hill County.

Texas red dirt legend Pat Green sadly suffered a big lose in the floods. Pat shared the following statement on his socials…

“Over the weekend, during the devastating flooding that hit Central Texas, my family – like so many others – suffered a heartbreaking and deeply personal loss.

We are grieving alongside countless Texans whose lives have been upended by this tragedy.

Right now, we kindly ask for privacy and space as we mourn, support each other, and begin to process what comes next for our family.

Thank you for your love, prayers, and compassion.”

Now Pat didn’t go into real details about his family’s lose and rightfully so.

His wife, Kori, did in fact share some more information about their family’s situation on her personal socials, and it’s painful. Kori shared that Pat’s youngest brother, John, his wife, Julia, and their two children were swept away in the Texas floods.

I couldn’t imagine being one those parents…or people who lost their kids and loved ones in the flash floods in Texas. It’s heartbreaking to even think about. Some of those babies and families who lost their lives didn’t even have a chance as it happened so fast.

Texas is known for taking care of their own when shit hits the fan though. Texas is strong and resilient. I’m praying for the families who lost their loved ones…because that’s all that really matters at the moment. God bless Texas.
