My wife and I struggled to have kids…and nearly gave up.
So, before Lainey Wilson became a house hold name my wife was already a fan of hers. She had a song called “Tougher”, which was also the title track of her second studio album that was released on April 8, 2016, via Lone Chief Records. That song helped my wife through some hard times of trying to have a baby.
When we first met Lainey on Jason Aldean’s tour in 2021, my wife told Lainey about how that song helped her and how we were still hoping to have a baby at that point. Then Lainey said, “y’all are going to have a baby”, as a matter of fact.
My wife said you feel pretty strong about that. Lainey said, “y’all are going to have a baby…because my mom and dad are also named Brian and Michelle.” My wife then proceeded to tell Lainey your career is about to blow up too girl.
The good news was put into the world the first night we all met. Then when Lainey actually started to have her career take off…is when we finally got pregnant. When Lainey rolled through Denver to headline Red Rocks in 2023, we got the chance to tell her in person how we were expecting our baby girl and we were naming her, Lainey.
Over the weekend on Lainey Wilson’s “Whirlwind World Tour” stop Denver on August 16, 2025…our little Lainey finally met big Lainey.
Never stop believing in yourself and pray often y’all. God is definitely good. And spend that money the ticket and go see Lainey’s tour. You won’t be disappointed.
