Cracker Barrel Heard Enough Hate (Mainly From People Like Me) As They Are Scraping The New Logo Design to Keep The “Uncle Herschel” Logo

I don’t really know where to begin, but I feel my voice has been heard.

So, Cracker Barrel made a bunch of renovations to their stores and changed their logo in the process. The backlash cost them quite a bit of money, somewhere in the neighborhood of $100 million dollars to be exact.

On Tuesday August 26th, they’ve heard enough hate and mainly from people like me, who wanted to see Uncle Herschel put back in the logo.

They posted this statement on on their socials…

“We thank our guests for sharing your voices and love for Cracker Barrel. We said we would listen, and we have. Our new logo is going away and our “Old Timer” will remain.

At Cracker Barrel, it’s always been – and always will be – about serving up delicious food, warm welcomes, and the kind of country hospitality that feels like family. As a proud American institution, our 70,000 hardworking employees look forward to welcoming you to our table soon.”

I guess hearing enough people complain and losing a ton of money gets a quick response from corporate America. Good job to the original Cracker Barrel customer team members. Our work here is done.
