The media absolutely blew up over the Taylor Swift / Travis Kelce engagement. Which was honestly nauseating…but how do the people feel?
The answer, according to a new poll, is totally ambivalent. 72% of respondents say they don’t care at all…while only 5% say they care a lot. 15% claim to care a little, and 7% aren’t sure how they feel. My Swifty friends were posting about like they were getting wedding invitations in mail for just posting about it.
Now if the overwhelming majority of people don’t care (because I know we exist), how did Travis and Taylor’s engagement photos break Instagram?
The pics were reposted more than a million times, which is a record in itself. They reached that number in six hours…and it’s already on the list of the 20 most-liked posts on Instagram.
Also, Taylor’s song “So High School”, which is playing over the photos, has jumped by 400% on Spotify.
So, it would seem that a lot of us are lying about not caring? I’m not…because I think she can be an unpleasant person if you ask her a question she didn’t want to be asked. I know this from first hand experience.
The rest of y’all are obviously lying though. I’m sure the wedding will be live-streamed for a small fee for Taylor’s fans to see her say “I do”, because why would she miss an opportunity to cash in on that?
