Carrie Underwood introducing Shinedown onto the stage at the Grand Ole Opry was not on my bingo card for 2025…but here we are
Nashville is home to country music…and it’s a city that’s also open to other artists from all genres. It’s a city full of talented musicians from all walks of life. It’s why country music is putting up historic streaming numbers. Not to mention guys like Morgan Wallen and Luke Combs are selling stadiums in every city they play in. Country music is cool to be a part of to say the least.
Shinedown was at the home of country music to play a three-song set at the Opry and it was actually their first show since the end of August, and they were introduced by non-other than Mrs. Carrie Underwood.
As Shinedown made their Grand Ole Opry debut this past Friday night, they made the most of it. They went ahead and debuted a brand new song of theirs called “Searchlight”. I think it was the perfect song to debut for them on the Opry stage too. It sounds country as hell…with a lot of southern rock influence.
