This is sad news.
Drake White got on his Instagram on Thursday, October 23rd, to share the news that he and his band were involved in a bus accident while they were in route to Albany, New York. Drake shared that he and his band were safe. Unfortunately their bus driver sustained injuries due to having a stroke while driving and was sent to the hospital to receive medical attention.
“Our bus was involved in an accident at about 2:30 AM. Everyone is okay as far as the band and the crew, uh, the bus driver is currently in the hospital. We will unfortunately not be able to play our show in Albany, New York tonight.”
The accident led Drake to having to cancel his show in New York, on October 23rd, but luckily he and his band were back at again on Friday night in Massachusetts, on October 24th. Drake thanked fans who purchased tickets to the show in Albany and apologized for the last-minute cancellation.
“Sometimes, unfortunately, these things happen as we put a lot of miles on these roads, and I just appreciate your thoughts and prayers for being with our bus driver, and we’ll see you down the road.”
Unfortunately horrible things like this happen and things this that remind us how we’re all human beings. Our time is limited and accidents are inevitable sometimes.
Now Drake didn’t go into a lot of details about the crash or what actually caused it. He did share images of the bus and the front windshield of the bus is completely smashed on the driver’s side. You can also see some large dents on the front of bus front too. As for rest of the bus…it looked structurally okay.
Drake’s guitar player, Matt Cummings, also shared a few photos with a little more information on why they actually crashed with the caption that reads…
“By the grace of God we are all okay. Last night our beloved driver Daveo suffered a stroke while behind the wheel outside of Cleveland, Ohio. We were able to get the bus stopped and the Pepper Pike FD helped get us all out of the bus safely. Thank you God for getting us all out of there alive. Prayers up for Daveo and everyone in our band and crew.”
Hope their bus driver pulls through this and thank God no one else was injured. God is definitely…no matter what happens in life.
