I don’t think he’s quite in the spirit of Christmas just yet. Considering Thanksgiving hasn’t really happened yet.
Yall it’s only November 9, 2025 as of now, as this breaking news story is being written and in hopes someone reads this. I know Zach Top is a country music disciple of Alan Jackson (maybe even his possible son), King George Strait and the second coming of Keith Whitley…but he does have bad day too y’all.
It’s hard to remember every great country song ever written. Now I hate to be the one to even bring this story to light. It’s the 2025 holiday season and it’s time to be kind to each other. It’s also why Zach being nice enough to take requests from the crowd at random during a VIP acoustic set.
Someone (@fishy__bacon on TikTok to be exact) wanted to hear Dolly Parton’s “Hard Candy Christmas”, which makes sense since he actually recorded a version of his own that was released November of 2023. He sang the shit out of it too. With it still being November, before Thanksgiving, and not quite yet Christmas season…Zach tried to play their request.
The only issue was…he forgot the lyrics. Again it’s not exactly Christmas season yet. He’s got some time to brush up on the song. He at least still knows how to play it on guitar.
