Jelly Roll just fulfilled a lifelong dream.
Craig Morgan invited him to join the Grand Ole Opry. And it all happened on “The Joe Rogan Experience”. Where at least a million people while it happened too.
Joe played Jelly a clip from one of his past Opry performances. Jelly called it “the most special night of my life.” He talked about how Craig’s song “Almost Home” helped him while he was in jail.
Then a video popped up of Craig thanking Jelly for making a “positive difference” and he said the words every country artist dreams of. Craig said, “Jelly Roll, you’re officially invited to become a member of the Grand Ole Opry.”
Jelly obviously broke down crying. After a while, he tossed off his headphones and asked for a hug with Joe…and Joe gave didn’t leave Jelly hanging on that hug. The man needed one.
Jelly said he once bought Opry tickets just to see Craig sing “Almost Home”…and now Craig was the first to announce that he’s joining the family. What an amazing moment for JR.
Congratulations to Jelly Roll on this amazing honor.
