Riley Green Graced The Season 28 Finale of “The Voice”, To Deliver A Powerful Acoustic Rendition of “Jesus Saves”

This is how you do a season finale.

Riley Green graced the season 28 finale of “The Voice”, which aired live on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, to deliver a powerful acoustic rendition of “Jesus Saves”. That song has a powerful message that tells the story of how can’t judge a book by the cover.

Sometimes all you is an acoustic guitar and a microphone to play a song like this. Especially when the song’s lyrics are this strong.

Just because you see someone in need holding a sign on the side of the road doesn’t necessarily mean what the sign reads. There’s more than like a back story that got them there…and that life story is probably filled with a lot of pain. And it’s true…sometimes the only thing to say is “Jesus Saves”…because he does.

I hope mainstream country radio picks this song up and plays the hell out of it, but I feel they won’t. Mainly because they don’t play country that means something more than a song that’s uptempo with a hook that talks about getting drunk on a Saturday night. They seem to only want songs that make you feel good.

Country music is supposed to mean something and make you feel something real. It’s supposed to mimic life. The good and the bad. This song from Riley…is exactly that.
