Blake Shelton Hates Dry January: “It’s Stupid”

Blake’s comedic side at his shows are just as great as going to his shows for his music.

Blake Shelton kicked off his newest Las Vegas residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace on January 15th. He mentioned how he was celebrating his thirty first #1 song, “Stay Country or Die Tryin’”, the same week as his new residency opened in Las Vegas.

So, naturally he opened the show by raising a drink and making the crowd laugh.

Blake told the audience, “I hope you guys aren’t doing that no drink January or whatever the hell that [sh*t] is, man. It’s stupid. This is country music, okay?”

He also instructed the “Dry January” people saying, “take the night off if you are.”

His residency features new songs mixed with his classics…and plenty of him messing around with the crowd. The show even has a video duet with Gwen Stefani.
