This man is known for saying exactly what he thinks and gives zero shits about who’s feelings he hurts
Charley Crockett had a lot to say in a post on his socials. Now when I say a lot, I mean the wrote a book about how feel about President Trump, Jelly Roll, Bad Bunny and how country music needs to get back to its traditional sound.
“They keep saying I’m a cosplay cowboy but they love a cosplay president. Some folks have been on here calling Muhammad Ali a draft dodger when yall got one in the White House.”
We get it. Charley obviously doesn’t like Trump. Charley was pretty upset with Trump changing the name of the “Gulf Of Mexico” to the “Gulf Of America”. And as a proud American here…I personally liked the name change.
Charley went on…
“When I was at the Grammys the other night I saw a guy get up and talk about Jesus, and then I saw Bad Bunny get up there and talk like Jesus. The country music establishment should be taking notes on a Puerto Rican American who hasn’t forgotten his heritage and brought his culture’s traditional music back to the front, showing the world something new with it.”
I get what Charley is trying to say and disagree with some…well…most of it. Mainly the part about Bugs Bunny talking like Jesus. BB literally said, “before I say thanks to God…blah blah f*cking blah”, he actually never got back to thanking God to be honest. So, at least Jelly Roll talked about Jesus and gave a nice little sermon the world needed to hear.
Charley also defended Beyoncé’s “Cowboy Carte” album, calling out industry hypocrisy and arguing she is not the source of country music’s issues. I mean it’s hard to take him seriously about him wanting country music to find its traditional heritage…because Beyoncé’s sound ain’t that.
Charley had more to say though…
“The President is a grifter who bankrupted 6 casinos. That’s pretty extraordinary considering it’s a rigged business in favor of the house. The only thing he’s good at is filing lawsuits and portraying a successful business man as a reality TV actor. Last time I checked Elon Musk was an immigrant from South Africa but there he is standing in the White House buying our elections. Let’s deport his ass and send Peter Thiel back with him since they both openly believe in a post democratic society where men of their class are above the law. Forgive me if I have a problem with a 34 time convicted felon running this country when I lost the right to vote or own a weapon for years over marijuana.”
I’m assuming Charley has never failed at anything in life and had to try again. Bankruptcy is something a lot of businesses go through to also survive. As long Elon’s documents are legal and updated properly, he has every right to be in this country like anyone does. Legal immigration is a beautiful thing and every American with common sense agrees with that.
The 34 felony story is bs, especially considering how the FEC voted 4-1 closed the inquiry after failing to find that Trump or his campaign “knowingly and willfully” violated campaign finance law. The NYC DA and AG campaigned to go after Trump and they damn sure did. The FEC moved on because Trump paid his lawyer a fee for being his lawyer (paying your lawyer is not a campaign violation or a crime) and his lawyer took that money to do as he wished with it.
I can agree that our marijuana laws are silly though. It’s a God given plant that I’ve been known to enjoy being around.
“As long as you’re hating the oppressed and loving your oppressor you’ll never know why our generation is poorer than our parents and grandparents. As a great man once said it’s welfare for the rich and rugged individualism for the poor. If you can sleep at night licking their boots that’s between you and yours, but that type of thinking isn’t freedom. It’s mental slavery.
Every single right we have as a people wasn’t handed to us. We had to fight and take it. Judge a man by how he treats the poor and those who he views as being able to do nothing for him. Don’t forget why Muhammad Ali said ‘I am America.’ Remember the coal miners of Harlan County, Kentucky. I believe in what we can be. Ride on.”
Again…Charley had a lot to say and rant on about. We should also always be willing to help out people in need…but I grew up in the projects and lazy people are real. Something to think about. The poorest 5% of people in the U.S. are still richer than 68% of the people in the world.
For a country where Charley thinks some people are oppressed, we’re all free to better ourselves every single day no matter what you look like. There’s no law currently being enforced saying you can’t do something, because of how you look if you’re a legal American citizen. You can either bitch, complain without solutions, get drunk, do drugs while sitting on your ass…or get up everyday and try being a productive human being.
Most people like being around people who tying to be a productive human being. Charley’s song, “Kentucky Too Long”; is absolutely twanger by the way.
