What a hell of a weekend in Lubbock, Texas.
King George Strait made his return to Lubbock for a two night stay with two shows. Friday night April 24, 2026 was night one at the Jones AT&T Stadium with Dylan Gossett and Zach Top. Saturday night April 25, 2026 Lubbock will see George with Hudson Westbrook and Miranda Lambert.
Again…it’s one hell of weekend in Lubbock, Texas. One guy drove nine hours to see show number one on Friday and ran into stopped traffic on the highway in Snyder, Texas. Snyder is also an hour and fifteen minutes from Lubbock by the way.
The merchandise line was no better. It was a line as big as Texas. Literally.
Then the line to get into the show was horribly long too. This was the line at 5:40pm right before Dylan Gossett hit the stage to open the show on Friday night. And I think it’s safe to say that some people missed seeing the opener.
This is basically what they mean when they say “people came in from everywhere” to see King George in Lubbock, Texas.
