Kacey Musgraves is releasing her new album, “Middle of Nowhere”, on Friday (5/1/26). It includes a song with Willie Nelson called “Uncertain, TX”.
Or as Kacey calls him, “everyone’s favorite gangster great grandpa” and the, quote where she said he the, “patriarch of truth [and] country music”. She says when she recorded with him, he did it in one take.
She said, “he walks in, does the take, and literally, that’s it. So, it better work. He’s like, ‘I’m in my 90s…I’m giving you 30 seconds, and then I’m out.’ He’s earned that. He’s a true American legend, transcends space and time. He’s amazing.”
This was their third time recording together. Their other two songs are “Are You Sure” from Kacey’s “Pageant Material” album and “A Willie Nice Christmas” from “A Very Kacey Christmas”.
