Dan + Shay performed live rendition of “The Star-Spangled Banner” during the pre-match opening ceremony for the United States Men’s National Team (USMNT) match against Paraguay. And it was absolutely f*cking amazing. It filled my patriotic heart.
They didn’t need any music to accompany them at all. It was performed a cappella and Shay’s voice was meant for this. To be honest…Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney should be asked to sing our National Anthem at every major sporting event.
