The World Cup in the United States of America is actually proving once again that sports is the great unifier here.
I still remember when all those miserable human beings were worried and bitching about the U.S.A. being one of the three countries (along with Canada and Mexico) hosting the 2026 World Cup? They kept peddling the idea about how racist, violent, terrible and unhospitable Americans are? That’s all been proven to be utterly false now considering all of the hospitality that visitors have been met with.
International World Cup fans from all corners of the world are having an absolute blast here in the good old U.S.A. They’ve been introduced to some our wonders here like Buc-ee’s, Shiner Bock and Texas brisket.
England’s team is staying in Kansas City, Missouri, but a group stage game against Croatia had them and their fans visiting Texas. And it was there in Dallas where one England fan stopped to talk to Fox 4 News, and this man had a lot of good things to say.
He was also wearing one of the biggest hats he could purchase and he kicked off his interview saying…
“I love this beer in this country. It’s really good… the hospitality has been amazing as well.”
The Fox 4 News reporter went on to ask him if he’s been able to dive into the Texas cuisine, and the English soccer fan didn’t hesitate in saying…
“I had Texas barbecue yesterday. I had a lovely bit of brisket. I went fatty, I went to slow bone, picked it up, put the sauce on it, dropped it into my mouth, melted in my mouth. It was absolutely beautiful. It’s the best beef I’ve had in my life.”
