Here’s some damn news from Alan Jackson’s final show.
Alan Jackson shared his degenerative nerve condition back in 2021, which is the ultimate reason why he made the hard decision to retire from touring.
“It’s starting to affect my performance on stage a little bit, where I don’t feel comfortable and I just wanted the fans and the public to know, if they’ve come to see me in the last few years or if they come to see me in the future if I play anymore, what’s going on.”
The disease is called Charcot-Marie-Tooth (CMT). The CMT Research Foundation announced that Alan raised and donated over $2.25 million from his final show.
The disease is not fatal, but it affects Alan’s ability to stand, walk and sing. So, he had to call it quits. Hopefully we’ll see cure for soon…and mainly for Alan. He’s pretty loved by country music fans.
