Ella Langley’s “Choosin’ Texas” has the opportunity to make Billboard Hot 100 history.
It’s #1 for an 18th week as of now. Ella has actually broke the record for the most weeks at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in a single year by a female artist this century, with “Choosin’ Texas”. It was previously held by Beyoncé since 2003 with “Baby Boy” and “Crazy In Love”. And if it holds strong for one more week, it’ll tie to become the second longest-leading single.
Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” and “Old Town Road” by Lil Nas X featuring Billy Ray Cyrus are currently tied at 19 weeks. Mariah Carey has the longest-leading single with “All I Want for Christmas Is You” with 22 weeks.
