This is how you celebrate a birthday.
Rhett Akins was officially inducted as a member of the Grand Ole Opry on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, which also happened to be his 57th birthday. He had some damn people there to help welcome him into Opry too.
His boy, Thomas Rhett, was obviously there for his dad. And so was Jason Aldean, Jon Pardi, Jamey Johnson and Luke Bryan. I mean it was another regular Tuesday night in Nashville to be honest. It’s where country music lives.
Luke actually said it best when he said, “I wouldn’t miss tonight if Iran created a new covid and I got it.” I mean that’s really sweet to say to a friend on their birthday if you ask me.
