This news is what the holiday season is all about.
Tracy Lawrence spent another part of his Thanksgiving week frying up a ton of turkeys to give back in a big way. We definitely need people like Tracy in this world too.
This is…or now was…officially the 19th year of him hosting the Mission:Possible Turkey Fry and Benefit Concert, Tracy along with 300 volunteers all came together to cook over 1,600 turkeys on-site at the Nashville Fairgrounds. In addition to first 1,600 fried birds, over 1,000 frozen turkeys were also distributed to some food shelters throughout Middle Tennessee, which provided a nice record-breaking 25,000 meals for those in need this year.
There were also some notable volunteers we need to mention that were on-hand to help fry up the turkeys too…which included Clint Black, Terri Clark, Charles Esten, Maddie Font (of Maddie & Tae), Chase Matthew, Lori Morgan, Trey Lewis and Frank Ray.
Then of course later that night, the annual benefit concert went down, featuring Meghan Patrick, John Schneider (one half of the Duke boys…Bo Duke from the Dukes of Hazzard) and Russell Dickerson, at Luke Combs’ Category 10 bar on Broadway. They wound up raising $250,000 to donate to Nashville Rescue Mission, the longtime partner of Mission:Possible.
